According to tradition, the Samaritan woman whom the Lord Jesus met at Jacob’s well was named “Fotini.” A good case can be made that, when translated into Arabic, her name becomes “Fatima.” We know this because the name Fatima is derived from the Arabic root word “f-tm” (ف ت م), which means “to shine” or “to radiate,” and the name Fotini is derived from the Greek word “phos” (φως), which means “light.” Translated literally, both names mean “the shining one,” and so given their phonetic similarity, it is reasonable to conclude that these are cognate names.
As an orthodox believer, I would suggest that the supposed visions among the separated Latin communion are clearly full of demonic deception (refer to the teachings of S. Ignatius Brianchaninov on prelest). This alone should be enough to explain the coincidences of dates. The deceptions may contain or reference many specific truths; but the idea that the Moscow patriarchate and the Latin church could be reunited is not among them. There is so much that would need to be fundamentally reformed in Rome for it to again become a canonically orthodox communion; such that the suggestion itself (on a superficial level) would seem to operate as nothing less than an enticement towards apostasy.
